Surprise Visitor

Yesterday was your usual working Saturday up in the chedi. In the evening, I decided to do my chanting in my hut. After I had finished chanting, I sat on the step into my inner room, with a cup of coffee, just chilling out so to speak.
As I got up to retire into my room, I almost jumped. I had a folded light green blanket in front of my computer, where I would normally sit and type. On my blanket was a spider, about the size of my hand!
It was huge!! I looked at it for a moment and finally said, "Thank you for visiting me, but please leave because I am afraid of you".
No sooner had I spoken these words, within seconds that monstrosity of a spider b-lined for the main door and disappeared under my hut. I was astonished over the incident, but couldn't resist a smile afterwards
